The research campus presents itself during the Long Night of the Sciences

The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine and the Leibniz Institute for Molecular Pharmacology offer young scientists excellent conditions for PhD studies, research projects and internships. In addition, many trainees benefit from the international environment of the research institutes.

With the Life Science Learning Lab, Berlin-Buch not only has an outstanding site for extra-curricular learning. Together with partners such as the TÜV Rheinland Academy and the Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie (BIP), the Academy of the Life Science Learning Lab offers training on a part-time basis for laboratory staff, scientists and entrepreneurs. The lecture series "Perspectives of the Life Sciences" and continuing education modules in the German Bundestag on gene technology and evolution enable teachers to use the latest research findings in their teaching.

The HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch, the Immanuel Krankenhaus Berlin and the Evangelische Lungenklinik Berlin offer aspiring doctors diverse opportunities to gain practical experience and receive training. Advanced training modules for physicians are offered on a regular basis.

All three hospitals in Berlin-Buch educate trainees in various professions. They cooperate among others with the Akademie der Gesundheit Berlin/Brandenburg e.V. in Berlin-Buch.

In the holiday labs and the summer academies of the Life Science Learning Lab, students can gain insights into science apart from their science courses at school. The holiday research camps which take place on campus offer an exciting program with science experiments combined with games and sports. Preschool and primary school children enjoy learning in the Research Garden: Here children aged four years and older can discover natural phenomena in experiments.

The Long Night of the Sciences at Berlin-Buch is traditionally a great magnet for visitors. Furthermore, at various times in the year, head physicians give lectures at the HELIOS Klinikum Berlin-Buch for patients and for the general public interested in medical topics.
